    Skyfall. 007

Went to see Skyfall last night... mixed feelings..

I know Daniel Craig isn't everyones cup of tea, but I like him. in Skyfall I think we get to see a bit of humour from him. I liked the film although I thought in parts it was a bit boring. Bond films should captivate you from start to finish. there were a few really nice touches on this film. not to give anything away to anyone who has not seen it yet.. bond has a nice classic car which we get to see near the end, with a "red button" joke I particularly liked. there was also the more sentimental side of things with him and M. The special effects scenes were well done and I have been told that one of the opening scenes with the motorbikes on the narrow rooftop paths were not cg but real... 70mph rooftop chase... narrow path.. All credit to the stunt team.. what a good job!!!. I also liked one of the last scenes when you get introduced properly to the agent who was with bond in the opening scenes.. You need to see it first before youi know what I mean.

All in all a good movie. 8 out of 10

we went last week and what a disappointment. the opening scene is by far the best bit of the movie (im sure location ie rooftops same as in taken 2)

wont say too much either for those who havent seen it yet but i was bored and so was my other half and he is a bond fanatic.

    id only give it 5/10

A haven't seen it and tbh and not really in a hurry to watch it.!
A think Bond has run its course, a know its a classic character but the old movies had really good characters that popped up in different films like Jaws and sheriff J.W.Pepper.
People always argue the Connery vs Moore being the best Bond, a thought Pierce Bronsan had the best blend for the Bond character and a haven't watched Craig yet so a can't judge him as Bond...

It just seems the same old stuff, bad guy who is a billionaire tries to take the world over, he has a evil enforcer who Bond kills halfway through the film and then the bad guy is killed at the end.
The bad guy usually thinks of some elaborate way of killing Bond which was done brilliant in Austin Powers with the shark and laser gag.
Lets face it, if you were a bad guy and your guards brought you a handcuffed Bond you put a bullet between his eyes, then have him chopped into little bits, stick him in a pot with vegetables and curry sauce and eat the ba*****.

              Some quality Bond film moments..

Watched it at IMAX manchester and thought the film was great, the opening was fantastic and i personally wish the rest of the film was as captivating as that. Alot more realistic than previous bond films, no such things as camouflaged cars etc! brill in my opinion. I have watched the last 5 bond films, not sure if i like casino royale more though...

Well my favourite movie genre is action/thriller and i liked some of the old sean connery movies and i liked all peirce brosnans films who is my favourite bond...daniel craigs attempts tho...i watched casino royale and that was enough for me and i wont be watching it again or any other bond movies he is in..tbh i think they are losing the plot with these recent bond films.. even way back there was signs the studio was losing the plot when they had a very oldish roger moore doing them and they even got sean connery back out of retirement while in his 50,s.

The Bourne films blew many of these bond films away and i can watch them time and time again.

i like daniel craig, he did a fine job in casino royale, i didnt like quantum of solace, but im sure he did a good job there too.
im pretty certain hes doing a good job in skyfall, although i havent seen it yet..

                      but the best bond?

that my friends is one timothy dalton.

if you say otherwise, you're wrong.

if you put the proviso, "imho", then your opinions wrong.
and thats not my opinion, this is stone cold fact.
hes the greatest bond. he just is.
