Did you try upgrading the OS before removing her from you system?? Sometimes, upgrading or totally removing the partition and installing Linux os can solve it??

I reckon the best setup is a dual boot system...........install WIFE1 onto c:/ first then a while later install BITONDASIDE18 aswell but don't let WIFE1 detect the new OS or serious hardware and software conflicts WILL occur.
