opinions please;
me and a friend of mine are in the middle of a bit of a row about a particular poker hand in which he believes he played the hand perfectly but i strongly disagree and think it was in fact shite play.
the hand;
home cash game 10p 20p blinds friend utg raised to ?1.20, 2 calls. flop 9 10 J rainbow. pot ?3.90 my mate pushes the pot for ?20, now at this point i know he's got AA and don't like the flop. somehow some guy at the table found a call with AK ( confused muchly ) and obviously the AA wins from here on in.
the aftermath;
my mate scraping in the pot and for the next few weeks emphatically states that the ?20 bet after the flop was the only possible bet he could possibly make to deter potential drawing hands. my argument is that his Aces could very well have already been cracked as the flop was within range of any possible hands that could do that and that the ?20 bet was reckless verging on stupid. the fact that he got paid the ?20 coz someone can't let go of AK after missing seems to have made him believe that it was a fantastic world beating play.
