My tribute to those lost ....

    That time again ...
That time again when every thing is put into perspective to just see that ultimate objective. Two world wars served and our dead and even our living veterans DON'T TRULYget the RESPECT they deserve...

That time again those who are true to our history will wear those poppy's loud and proud. These men and even younger guys stepped out onto the battlefield not knowing if they would come back even after the last attack!

THAT TIME AGAIN ... WE WILL ALL STAND UP PUSH OUR CHESTS OUT AND GIVE THOSE VETERANS DEAD OR ALIVE THE ULTIMATE RESPECT THEY DESERVE CAUSE THEY NEVER LEFT ANYTHING IN RESERVE ..... RIP THE FALLEN

I live not far from quite a few places like this, in a land that saw both my grand and great-grand father fighting.

It's hard to imagine the scale of loss that went on, even if you just visit one (there are loads and they're all huge, really huge). And then there's things like the siege of Leningrad which, I believe saw more russians die than the combined british and US losses throughout the entire 2nd world war.

Utterly, utterly tragic for every side involved and anyone who doesn't think something like this is worth remembering or disapproves of those who do, whatever their political views, well, I don't know.. **** 'em.

p.s. I did hear WW2 is no longer something they teach for GCSE in the UK, which, if true is very worrying and wrong...
