i used to like the smell of petrol... then i had to change out a busted fuel pump standing down an unventilated pit, now not so much.
i really like the smell of whisky being distilled, as a kid i used to loathe it but it smelled like home.
now all the bottling plants and distileries have shut down and the local town doesnt smell like it anymore and i completely miss it.
used to go on holiday or away for a while and as soon as you would get back the smell was the first thing you got hit with and you knew you where home

I grew up in Airdrie and the Inverhouse Distillery used to send wafts of Whisky all over the place, yummm
