i have a ten times optical on mine very powerful, this one has twelve times so wow better, you can increase it with digital zoom as well, but the best thing about these cameras is they use AA battery's so you dont need to buy spare battery pack and you dont need to worry about having no power left just pop in a shop and buy new sorted

I have now realised I can't get film into my Nikon D50, I now have another problem. It came supplied with a 2gb sd card and the camera won't accept it. Any ideas would be helpful. thank you.

format the card in your computah. there may be an option to do so in the camera. it may also be a duff card. try another

Did the card actually come with your camera or was it bought with it???
Don't know if it makes a difference but I think your camera takes a sd/mmc,
is that the same as a normal sd card????

                                Here are the recommended types:

                                Sandisk: 64mb,128mb,256mb,512mb,1gb.

                                Toshiba: 64mb,128mb,256mb,512mb.

                                Panasonic: 64mb,128mb,256mb,512mb,1gb.

I think either my daughter or son has bought the card for the camera and did not realize the requirements. I don't want to bother them considering they bought me the camera for my 70th.

                                So a 2gb is out.
