I think either my daughter or son has bought the card for the camera and did not realize the requirements. I don't want to bother them considering they bought me the camera for my 70th.

    So a 2gb is out.

Just been readin the manual for your camera, and your right about those card sizes.
I'm surprised it doesn't take a bigger card.

A 1gb card will be ok if your going shoot in jpeg only, but if you shoot in Raw or jpeg/Raw then you could struggle with space, especially on special occassions like holidays where your constantly snapping.
Those Raw file sizes are massive.

Ive got that Canon 450d with 2 x 4gb cards which are plenty big enough, and I shoot in Raw/jpeg.

    That is all.
I refuse to answer that question on the grounds that I do not know the answer.

What is a holiday? Nothing in my manual about that.

Someone said it is better to carry aroung a few small cards than lose all your data on one.
I can't wake up Grumpy now in case I am accused of Dwarfism

your confusing me now . Now Julia Bradbury did the Monsal trail I think and thats next to the Wye, so if thats the Dove then it could be anywhere inbetween ashbourn and Axe Edge.

                  nice piccy by the way.

By a series of elimination and common sense , youve got to have taken that on the Monsal Head Viaduct looking down on the River Wye.
