Looks like a nice camera judging by the review ive just read. Forntiddler might be the man to consult with, I think he's got a D50.
Tell us how yer get on with it and that 200 page book.
I remember you have the Canon 450?? I think my D70 was Nikon's answer to the Canon 300, so probably a bit dated. Certainly the screen size on mine is an issue, less than 2". And you have to use the viewfinder on mine to compose the pic, screen to review the pic. Is this the same with your 450?
I know the quality of the pics should be good (in the right hands), at the moment I have about 200 different pics of the telly in the bedroom. Not sure if anyone interested in the full RAW files of them?
Still not sure if I have done the right move, its is hardly a Ryanair hand luggage item. People quote how fast is it to take a shot... not when you haven't took it anywahere coz of the bulk of the thing.
Thing we me is I am never happy. boo hoo, see!
which reminds me.. I crashed into a car being driven by a midget... he said I am not happy....
I said which ~~~~er are you then?
Yeah, the 450 does have the live view shooting mode, but to be honest ive never used it, much prefer to look through the view finder. The live view mode probably comes into its own when you need to get on the floor or summat or maybe holding the camera above your head, anyway's not having it is no draw back if you ask me.
I know what yer mean by the shear size of the thing. Ive got mine in a LowPro shoulder bag with 2 lenses, a lense hood, the charger and manual. All that packed away is not very user friendly, especially if your lugging about other stuff too.
As I said I decided I didn't want to carry that fekker about with me around London so I took me compact instead. In hindsight I wished i'd took it now, I was taking pics in the evening when the light was failing and me compact couldn't deal with it, if i had me SLR it'd be a case of compensating the exposure.
I refuse to answer that question on the grounds that I do not know the answer.
I will keep a hold of the D70 for now. Our lass has a little compact which I can use. I am watching a few on ebay, just to see what I can flog it for if I aint happy.
Worse thing is I am up to about page 17 of my 200 page manual.

If i were you i'd put the manual to one side and just take plenty of photo's, bet you'll get used to the camera more by trial and error than reading the book.

yeah, I have done, good advice. Taken some crap photo's with it, but really nice quality crap photo's. I cant believe how many nasal hairs I have.
Hi is it possible to release the shutter button on a digital camera as my cousin has asked if it possible to do without taking it to a shop which proberbly would be expensive any ideas anyone?
