If you were on blueyonder then it's still the old name not virgin.

      THE TRUTH
      The Hillsborough Independent Panel. 12/09/12

Today's report is black and white. The Liverpool fans were not the cause of the disaster.
The panel has quite simply found 'no evidence' in support of allegations of 'exceptional levels of drunkenness, ticketlessness or violence among Liverpool fans' and 'no evidence that fans had conspired to arrive late at the stadium' and 'no evidence that they stole from the dead and dying'.

Not sure on the set up with Grabit, I use Newsbin pro and sometimes Agent.
I refuse to answer that question on the grounds that I do not know the answer.

Excuse my ignorance(you generally do) but what exactly are newsgroups?

                    do you use torrents???

if so just think of them as a torrent except loads and loads faster.

they work on the same principal..

you download a torent file....you download a nzb file

torrents, you open torrent file with utorrent, bittornado etc.
newsgroups, you open nzb file with newsleecher, neewsrover, altbinz etc

you download file and extract using winrar, sometime with newsgroups you'll need to repair files with a proggy called quickpar.

you can either pay for newsgroups or use vermins free server, i choose to pay for the 200 day retention from giganews, eg....if you see a film that was uploaded 20 or 199 days ago you wont be able to download it on vermins free server but you could using giganews....

i can download a film on my 20 meg connection in about 40 odd mins downloads at 2.3mbps as you are relying on people letting you take it off their computer but downloading from a dedicated server that will download as fast as your internet connection allows

Thanks I think the news part was confusing me. I did not think it had any connection to uploading or downloading. I thought all that stuff was old hat as you can virtually listen to or watch anything you want on the internet if you know where to look. As usual I am wrong again.

                        Forntiddler..

Newsgroups are discussion bulletin boards I suppose. Theres hundreds if not thousands of different groups all talking about different subject from around the world.
But it just so happens that you can post stuff like music, films and the like, basically all kinds of digital media. That means if you can post stuff like that you can also download it too.

There's good points and bad points about it. The main good point is you download at your proper download speed, your not dictated by some other geeks pc like on torrents.

A bad point is you can only download what is posted up, so you rely on the good nature of other posters.
Also its a bit more complicated to get the stuff you want because the big files are usually split into lots of smaller parts, so when you have all the parts you have to extract em and put em all together again and sometimes fix the bits that either arent there or don't work properly.

I'll stop rambling on but needless to say peeps who use newsgroups will tell yer they are well worth the hassle.

                        that is all....thank ~~~~.
