            agreed.
but, for me, most things posted are regurgitations of things I've been looking into for years.
really interesting posts, like that of redspider on the Egyptian connection to the Grand Canyon, had no reply's.
now its true, I had heard of this story prior to redspiders posting.
but it did lead me to a very interesting study connecting an ancient Chinese book that appears to show the Chinese visited the area many thousands of years ago.

If it proper broke, use it for something else!

                Mine are :-

Switzerland (lovely scenery, but lacking any vibe) and
                Morecambe
They stand dead people up in the bus shelters to make it look more lively. (With apologies to Les Dawson.)
I heard they send the terminal ill to Wolverhampton, because 6 months there seems like a life time.

Yip, a visited Campbeltown once and it will be my last, apart from it being nothing like i expected the locals were not that friendly either.
I had to endure 3 days which felt like 3 years, on our first night we went to a few pubs and it was clear that visitors are not welcome, a wouldn't even recommend that place to my worst enemy.

I do enjoy American Tourists asking me for directions to "The Big Church", I always make a point of giving them detailed walking directions towards the A64 heading west towards Leeds.

I'm sure there must be a big church somewhere in Leeds...........

                          Honeymoon to Colorado 1991

The most boring place we went through at the end of June in 1991 was Iowa. All flat land and not much else to look at. It was extremely hot too. We were on a motorcycle traveling from Michigan so we tried traveling at night when it was cooler.
