Ahh it's alright for some, isn't it! I went to Majorca at the start of April but hopefully be off to America in September.

I'm in Abu Dhabi for a week in July. I'm gonna burn!!!

Yeah, i used to work/live in the middle east 15 years ago.. Was a great place to be, great nightlife etc.. I know it has changed a lot since i was there, I keep threatening to take my wife out there to show her some of my old haunts..

When i go on holiday i have no preconcieved notion of where im off to.

i book time off from work.
show up at the airport.
stagger to whichever desk has the hottest employee on that day and tell her im going on holiday.
when asked where i respond with, "wherevers leaving in the next 20 minuites."

flights turn out to be cheap as chips and you wind up in some freaky places,
Ive been to Cuba where i got dysentry and wound up on the roof of the hotel in the middle of a storm in LSD induced delerium.

Kiev, where whilst stumped for anything better to do i hired a car and took a detour to Prypyat (the town that serviced Chernobyl) i even got hosed down and scrubbed with red stuff of dubious origin by a lovely gasmasked Ukranian gentleman at the crossover into "the zone of alienation." Chernobyl is by far the freakiest place ive ever been, there are even tours with people wandering around with rem counters clicking, i just wandered around to shit scared to move anything incase i kicked up any nasty dust.
Tied up with some tourguide who told me buildings that where safe and gave me a clickery geiger counter thing, instructions in broken english where generaly "if screech, run imediately"

Tel Aviv was strange, i expected middle eastern terrorist shennanigans, instead i got to meet some wonderful family who put me up in their gaff for a week, despite the insurmountable language barrier.

I'll go anywhere in the world and figure out accomadation once i get there, sleep rough if i have to. ive had some seriously crazy experiences, but hell you only live once right? so why not go to places that will give you mad diseases and make your balls glow in the dark, drop off or both

cant go anywhere no more cos of stupid dog and stupid daughter darent leave em in the house so unless they die soon im gonna just be miserable

im back and exhausted . las americas was so so quiet. credit crunch really affecting businesses over there. ive never known it so quiet in all my 10 times there in the last 7 years. we stayed in the andorra aparthotel and it was really nice. never ate any food there (breakfast was 8 - 10 a tad early for us) so cant comment on the grub. location great, lovely pool. we had 1 bedroom apts and they were great. i had emailed them before hand and asked for the 3 * building as they have a 2* and 3* building.

the price of ciggies has really rose over there so if any smokers are going to the canaries have a look at the price of 400 ciggies at your departure airport as some of them are 26 euros for 200 over there. glasgow airport had 400 mayfair for ?44 going out.

i was getting ciggies for mates and if anyone wants to know more just pm me as i know a great place for booze and cigs in las americas.
