Take cash with you, it will be much more use than a piece of plastic. By the sounds of it plastic will not get you anything anywhere the way it's going,. Can't comment on the price of the Euro really, but it's unlikely Cyprus will affect the exchange rate.

We're of on jols in a few weeks also in spain though..

think it would be safer to buy here... as there may be those who hike up the exchange rate to make a little extra cash.. (no mods/admins in cyprus to report them too)...

We're lucky we already have a few 100 euros from previous holidays..

        YOu could ask Wonger??

By all accounts cash is king with few places accepting plastic. I'd hang off until next week as the Euro in Greece may go pear shaped.

If Fitch downgrades the UK's credit rating the pound will fall and the cost of your Euros will rise. I think Fitch will be publishing their credit ratings in April and it does look like they will be downgrading the UK.

I always take a normal debit card and withdraw form the hole in the wall in any country I visit, find it easier than carrying large amounts of cash and the exchange rate is done by your bank in the uk
