    Improve the UK.

I've been thinking a lot recently about what i would do to change the UK and make it a better place and come up with some key ideas.

    BENEFITS
I've been on the "brew" for a grand total of 2 months in my life.
Thats only been between jobs, i've never had a problem finding work for one single reason. i will do ANYTHING to make ends meet. ive worked scraping unspeakable filth off of sewer mains in a rubber gimp suit and respirator. wiped arses at old folks homes, stacked shelves, took phonecalls and coldcalled people (this surprisingly enough was worse than scraping shite off pipes) ive even worked as a lowly brickies mate and general labourer, spent time cleaning fish, washing windows, carpets and furniature. absoloutly any job thats available ive gone into with both feet.

Theres plenty of work out there for someone willing and able so the only reason i can see for people being on the dole is because they either want to eat into my taxes or they think theyre too good to get their hands dirty.

So i propose the following changes:
1: Bbootcamp with the prospect of seeing nice sandy places and im not talking the beach.
Simmilar to the old National Service, anyone whose been out of work for 6 months gets to go for a holiday and get drilled for 4 months.
Benifits: builds discipline and character. whittles out junkies (you cant get any gear when your constantly checked and monitored and out in the middle of nowhere) you will actively want to do anything else except get your baws toed by a big camo clad nutter, so work seems preferable.
Failure to comply and show up at assinged torture camp suggests that your not really needing yur giro, so your national insurance number will be red flagged and all payments will cease untill you report in for training.

2: GPS tracking, you want to get paid for job hunting? if i find out your lying on your arse watching jeremy kyle each day instead of actively seeking work you wont get paid.
When out of work i generaly awaken at 6am, go out, buy the papers, log on and check for work and then list contacts to start phoning at 9am, anyone i cant get in touch with i pay a visit and beat on their door for work. pride doesnt pay my bills unfortunately im pretty shameless about begging for a job and will even negotiate lower pay if i think it will land me something constant. GPS tracking would show me hustling my ass to get a job.
This has the added bonus of allowing operators to find out if some asshole is signing on whilst working on the side.

3: Random mandatory drug testing, urine and hair analysis could be performed at any time.

4: in cases of disability then there would be mandatory doctors apointments initialy to confirm with a followup of 5 months surveilance via webcams installed in a clients home and GPS bracelets. if i see some wee wideo busting out breakdancing moves whilst claiming he had gammy legs hes noe getting paid.

5: RELOCATION, out of work for over 6 months? guess what? housing benifit will fall down to a reduced rate able to afford you a mud hut or your colour of cardboard.
i pay a fortune for my shitty little flat and some assholes get a nice big house paid for.

This should overhaul the entire benefits sytem and save the UK taxpayer a nice chunk each year.

So what would you do to improve our country? ive go plenty of other ideas but this post is starting to get too large.
He who laughs last thinks slowest.

sack all the thieving, lying, dishonest, corrupt, scumbag mps and prosecute them, and take all their ill gotten gains of them like they do with other criminals, then get some young ens in parliment for some new fresh ideas, they have been fiddling us for decades billions gone up in smoke while the pensioners struggle to eat, then get rid of all illegals and stop anymore coming in, reduce migration/ immigration to next to nowt, up the minimum wage to say ?7-8 an hour which will make the shite jobs more appealing, get the fcuk out of the european union why should we be told what to do by the barstewards in brussels, ive heard we pay 40million a day or a week into it, which ever its is what do we get for it ? FCUK ALL, hows that for a rant ?

You don't solve problems by only eliminating one of the problems. There are other problems that are invisible to the general public or they just don't want to know about them.

The amount of tax evasion that takes place amongst the 'middle classes' is astronomical. A lot of this evaded tax is from unearned income so please don't say 'They worked for it'.

I once saw a teacher stunned when someone told her she got more in 'perks' from the government than someone on the dole. I can't remember them all offhand but most of it involved reduction in the payment of tax and grants for this and that.

Don't even let me start on the 'upper classes' or business who work in the 'black economy. Cash up front with no receipt is probably the most common one. Offshore tax evasion. Tesco declares billions, how much does it not declare, Trillions more like.

I know they are many work shy people. I know of many, the same age as me who never worked in their lives. One I keep saying stopped on Guy Fawkes night. He was lighting a banger that said light the blue touch paper and retire immediately. He did.

There are a lot of people on the dole who genuinely can't find work. Don't lump them with the work shy. That is like saying that the youth of today are bad and that they are all carrying knifes etc. just because a few of them are doing it.

If you feel strongly about some of the workshy cheats, then report them, but don't 'lump' them with honest people who can't find a job.

P.S. I do agree about National Service. Just think about the number of jobs and businesses it would create.

That's my rant for the day.
I can't wake up Grumpy now in case I am accused of Dwarfism

i totally agree this system is all to pot, but tbh there is a lot of people that DONT want to work. i know a few people that havent worked a day in there life and tbh it boils my blood, as more often than not they always seem to have more money than me.

Me personally have never claimed any benefits and have worked since i left school, even now i am working away from home, 240 miles away from wife and kids just to make ends meet so i dont have to claim, but i want to do it

I agree with everybody so far.

Unfortunately our benefits system has evolved over many years into a over complicated mish mash of red tape and unfair rules, which is easy to fiddle if you put your mind to it.

I'll try and not get on me soap box about work shy people, as its a sore point. Needless to say there's folks who want to work and there's folks who don't.

Oh, i'll get back to this tomorrow, i'm off to bed.
I refuse to answer that question on the grounds that I do not know the answer.

Revoloutionize the Expenses system for MP's
Set everyone a budget, lump all that money into one place and issue MP's cards to access it, this would work exactly like a chip and pin credit card.
Heres the deal though: every transaction on that card gets uploaded online for the general public to see.

Just log on to mp-expenses.com and surf for your constituent and be able to see at any time exactly what they're spending your taxes on.
None of the bullshit of "we'll detail our expenses just after the next election."

See how many MP's use the system for rental ~~~~ in hotels then.

                  Space age military
Build a robot with cameras. feed the cameras and control systems back via broadband to any 12yr old kids computer and call the program use "Counter insurgency task force team fortress strike" or something with a lot of X's and Z's in the name.
Everyone knows that little 12yr old from Ohio can kick anyones ass at counter strike so why not let him field a real military operation? he thinks its a game, you dont need to pay him to play (kids will more often than not pay to play so this covers the RnD budget) and you've essentialy got a self sustaining military force with no friendly casualties.
This will cost the tax payer next to nothing as a bonus.

                  Justice
Why should i pay a fortune to house some whiney arsehole in a prison when hes just going to moan that he has to shit in a bucket and slop out each moring, then think its "ok" to sue?
maybe shoulda thoughta that before committing a crime in the first place.

Instead of spending billions on prisons we just make inmates play games like the gladiators of old.

Televise the events internationaly to ward off any would be idiots who think bombing us is fair game, once the taliban catch us handing convicts chainsaws to each other and "stating last man standing wins a pardon" they will think twice of tangling with whats clearly a crazy bunch of bloodthirsty psychos.
Place a betting system into it and have phone ins to generate even more money, after a few seasons of fun filled maddness the stigma will wear off and corporate sponsors will be dying to grab a piece.
Proceeds go directly towards the health and education budgets.
Criminals will think twice before even attempting to commit a crime because it will ultimately lead to death or at the very least permanent disfigurement, terorists will think twice and our kids will get a better education and healthcare system to boot.
He who laughs last thinks slowest.

To be honest im a fan of the European Union, at the risk of becomming very unpopular...

I used to be a community/youth worker and ive recieved a LOT of money from the European Social Fund, a few million which ive match funded elsewhere. i actualy seemed to get a far better response from the ESF than even the National Lottery Fund which has gotten so caught up in red tape its becomming useless to even attempt to apply.
At one point i was up just over 6.5 milion due in large to the EU (various grants with very specific remits) that sounds like a lot but its nothing more than a drop in a bucket.

Not to mention the entire Phorm/BT scandal, the EU has been infinately more supportive than our own ICO, Police or even National Government.
Without the EU our government would be far more corrupt than it actualy is.

Ive dealt with my MSP's and MP's and theyve been useless more often than not untill ive taken my problems to my MEP's where my MP's get shamed into actualy pulling a finger out and doing some actual work.

Its good to have an external pressure source. If a government is unwilling to listen to its people you can be sure that someone in the EU is and will readily place peer pressure on your own government on your behalf.
Without the EU i firmly believe the UK would be in a far worse place than it already is.

RIPA breaches would go unchecked and we would essentialy have no rights to privacy. Think 1984 or THX 1138 only worse. Asylum seekers would drain our resources without the major funding that the ESF grants.

A lot of complaints get slung at Asylum cases, when the reality is that our government get given grants from the ESF and IMF with a specific remit tied to them as aid for asylum seekers (with a bonus subremit for regeneration).
People see them getting rehoused and given stuff and get pissed off without realising that its actualy costing us nothing. It's all been paid for beforehand from a budget thats unavailable to any other cases and isnt even our budget.

Put simply, we accept asylum cases we get allocated ?x for upkeep and regeneration, thats money for asylum seekers and money to do up the surrounding region for the benifit of everyone. without which most of the country would still be a complete shithole instead of a partial shithole.

The EU has done me personaly more good than harm, especialy since i actualy get a response from them in under 48hrs, whereas when ive attempted to broach an issue with my own government i wind up waiting weeks for a response from the sons of bitches.
He who laughs last thinks slowest.
