What do they say "always read the small print"
I refuse to answer that question on the grounds that I do not know the answer.

This is funny.. but he's risking it..

Fraud on what?? he sent them a contract and didnt read it! they could argue he's defaced their contract which lawyers have drafted for on their behalf!

        GastonJ wont approve!

It was always worth a try, but it's fraud anyway. Their own stupid fault for not bothering to read what he'd sent back though. I dare say there'll be a market now in scanning software which compares the content of the standard contract sent out and the signed one returned to banks - that way they won't have to read them.

I always alter my job description and contract of employment when I get a new one. There is *never* a clause in mine which says "and any other duties......" I always remove it. I had one person question it once and offered to have it kept in for a price - they didn't like the price so it stayed out, otherwise I refuse to sign it and custom and practice comes into play, they have a custom of asking me to do stuff and I have a pratice of telling them to sling their hook.

As long as he pays his 377 Grouts what is the problem?

            Why is it fraud anyway?

he sent it back to them, not like he kept a copy.

He altered a document which wasn't his to take money from them, ok it's deception I dare say. Then again that's no different from a bank at the end of the day
