    Tyrants

Always led to believe that Colonel Gaddafi was a bit of a tyrant but according to my Libyan mate at the gym he does not seem that bad, i always thought the people got jack and he creamed the lot

    but no

    Apparantly they got

    Free electric
All citizens got $50,000 for getting married
You want a new car he will go halfs with you
    $5000 for having a baby
    Free education and heaalth
Oil profit money directly shared to citizens
    Country has no debt
Fuel is about 9p a litre
and bread is about 10p for 40 loaves

and i checked it out it seems its all true, and over 25% of Libyans have university degree and if they dont get a job government pay them wage

So which country has the corrupt government??? seems like it is us

I've thought that for a while, everyone in it for themselves, what's in it for me and all that. On top of that we claim to be a free country and yet we have more CCTV's than anywhere else, we ban marches because they aren't PC, we have internet and communications intercepted like there was no tomorrow. At least China and co. freely admit they do it, they don't hide behind technicalities such as asking the Americans to do it and then asking for the data to make it "legal" here. The UK is going downhill fast and we've sleepwalked into this, by "we" I mean the public.

From an article at the time......

The war raging in Libya since February is getting progressively worse as NATO forces engage in regime change and worse, an objective to kill Muammar Gadhafi to eradicate his vision of a United Africa with a single currency backed by gold standard rather than the Dollar.
Observers say implementing that vision would change the world power equation and threaten Western hegemony. In response, the United States and its NATO partners have determined "Gadhafi must go," and assumed the role of judge, jury and executioner.
"If they kill Brother Gadhafi, I submit to you that American interests in Africa will come under severe strain," warned the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan on WPFW-FM's "Spectrum Today" program with Askia Muhammad.
"That man has invested in Africa more than any other leader in the recent history of Africa's coming into political independence," he continued. The Muslim leader said America needs access to the mineral resources in Africa to be a viable power in the 21st century.

if you look at wars its only a handful of people who start them, should be like the very very old days the leaders in the front line first, look at Iran they are wanting to talk now, so the guy before in charge there he didn't.. so again its a few people that can cause so much damage, getting pathetic this world. war makes fools of us all, the rest it kills..

Have to agree with you, only a few weeks back some cking idiots with the names Obama, Hollande and Cameron were busy attempting to kick one off. Can't decide why but they all claimed they had 'evidence', none of them has shown any, and now it's all gone quiet on the evidence part - perhaps the evidence pointed the wrong way, who knows. However I can only assume they were all trying to make a name for themselves. I have one for them - it's "Warmongering Tw@s" *shrug*

All tyrants in their own way, and none of the countries are as 'free' as they claim to be. All spy on their own citizens, all have passed laws in the name of anti-terrorism and yet we don't have anything like the threat we had in tee 1970's in the UK. Some will now say that's because we have the laws in place
