      cheap cable

      Its all down to quality and construction.cable such as ct100 has the extra sreening on the outside of the braid which blocks interferance,the copper inner can vary,the better the least resistance,so more signal reaches the receiver.

        on all tv point installs we do we install RG6 sat cable, most electrical suppliers hve this in stock. this give better quality and also less problems to the end user in the end

          this could be the answer to my modem keep dropping its signal problem lads off to try and either get some ct100 or RG6

          <--krazylegz added 229 Minutes and 0 Seconds later...-->

          well i went straight to shop and bought some ct100 cable and used that, but as i was unplugging old cable i realised it was RG6, so i had decent coax all along and it's still dropping my connection with CT100..................time for a new modem me thinks

            WF100, CT100 or RG6 is ok for runs under 30Mtrs and will produce good results. For runs longer than 30m WF125 is best but could also be used on shorter runs. Cable quality is everything as is the insatllation of the cable. Tight bends for instance will lead to signal degradation.
