A small village in Ayrshire famous for its association with the poet Robert Burns and Mauchline Ware mentioned a lot on antique shows. Made more famous by a 'young man' visiting the village in search of romance. The said young man not previous checking the area. The fact that the village has a Hostelry called Poosie Nancies should have served as a warning.
