Britain is set for a heatwave next week with temperatures expected to rise to 32C.
It is gearing up to be a joyful start to July with temperatures soaring to 32C in London on Monday and Tuesday.
In other regions, the heat could hit 29C to 30C during the day with the East of England, South West, South East and the Midlands seeing the highest temperatures outside London.
Even at night temperatures will be between 15C and 18C except in London where they will stick at an incredible 19C or 20C.
This means the chances are more than 60% that one or more regions will have consecutive heat over two days and during the night.
People should take care as temperatures rise over the weekend and into Monday, the Department of Health said.
A spokeswoman warned: "The heat is especially dangerous for the very young, older people or those with serious illnesses.
"Keeping the home as cool as possible during hot weather and remembering the needs of friends, relatives and neighbours who could be at risk is essential.
The Department advises closing windows and using blinds or curtains when the temperature is hotter outside than inside.
