Are kids just a source of income?

I dont mean to upset anyone here but why do some people have kids? I cant help but think its for the money..Why?

Well in Tesco the other day, theres a kid and a parent..The kid see's a 50 pence sweet and begs their parent to buy it for them.. Their reply 'We dont have enough money to buy that' (Fair enough).. The very next thing they do... Place a case of beer on the counter and get cigarettes?

Surely i cant be the only one who thinks thats disgusting

Like in everything else it is a matter of brain,if you not have it you go with the flow till the end,it is sad yes.In fact the kids are the meaning of life,its easy..how many know this? Dont be mad for that guy and his beer case,it is too stupid to deserve your atenttion,the poor in this picture is the kid,just him.

In some cases they are for the money. But bad parenting is just par for the course in some estates.

There's a person who works in the same shop as my partner. She has kids of varying age. But has no working heating, constantly asking for advances so she can put some elec/gas on the meter or complaining that she never has any money. But she buys an average of 80 cigarettes a day.
A responsible person would either cut down on the cigs or switch to an E-cig. It would save her a fortune...but she won't.

Short story is, in the "Fat Unemployed Benefit Office" some woman is in their with her kid that is soon to be 'off benefits', but because the kid has a software fault she is alloud to be on benefits, because she looks after the faulty kid.

Her reply was "So i got up the duff for no reason then". Why bother if the first kid has a fault, 50/50 chance second kid will have a fault.


You could argue on the first post that it was a family 'party' planned they had been saving up for months.

I sent all my kids out to work in the mines and sweeping chimneys as soon as they could walk, 6am until 10pm with 1/2 a day off on Christmas day when they could buy me some presents. Of course kids are there for the income, don't call me Norman Tebbit for nothing y'know

@ jackpot - you should see some of the completed forms i have to process every day. bloomin diabolical. any single parent tht says she cant pay the bedroom tax is LYING. every single parent that doesnt work gets ?76 per week per child in child tax credit and child benefit alone! theres been stories in the papers up here - single mum has to go to food bank blah blah blah. utter crap and unfortunately people believe them. they do get the money for their kids but as you pointed out smoke, drink and can afford sky tv.

I didnt mean to give that impression, being my age, right now i know a couple of people of similar age who have kids and i wouldnt say either of them had them for the money

Many people especially on council estates where i live do use kids for extra money and to get houses. Its common practice to buy fags with babys milk tokens. We live in a country where sensible people hold off having kids until they are financially stable and then end up not being able to have them to the other end of the spectrum where they knock 8 or 10 out for fun and get the social money and then the country has to feed them

Not all people are like that but there is a lot of them where i live, the girl next door to my daughter has 2 kids now she is just turned 18, already been on jeremy kyle( really) her bloke failed lie detector, but she stayed with him and had another kid. He now has 5 ( 2 her and 3 othersand he is only 21

She was also taking cat and smoking green all the way through her pregnancy too, its disgusting tbh doesnt deserve kids

Not sure EXCAT details but rumor states during WW1 each boy was expected to dig PER DAY something like enough soil to fill a football pitch or olmpic swimming pool or something, sure you will find a weird link as normal.
