we are going to sell 500 raffle tickets at their face value in pence how much will it make? e.g raffle ticket number 1 will sell for 1p, ticket 57 will sell for 57p, ticket 467 will sell for ?4.67 and so on, anyone work it out?

youv'e been watching too much TV, theres an "s" in maths.
Work it out for yourself.
ticket 1 + ticket 500 will sell for 1 +500 = 501 pence
2 + 499 = 501
3+ 498 = 501
4 + 497 = 501
so there must be 250 pairs
each pair generates ?5.01
x by each other = ?1252.50
If I am wrong I am not far out. -
