Been pulling a ton of mackerell out of Loch Long right now, positively jumping out of the water, although to be fair sizes have varied widely.

Where in the Clyde are you casting from? and what kind of setup are you using?

ok you know the kingston basin ,fishing the incoming tide casting along the rocks ,about 20 feet out downtide using pealer watch your rod as i nearly lost mine to a cod.lost some bigger fish .they seem to feed hard when the tide is running hard.

i would give it a go ,i would start fishing right at low water at the helensbrug side of the point,as you need a good run in the tide you will get the full flow of the tide at your side ov the river.i dont really know too much about your side but if you know any marks that jut out into the river then that is whare i would fish.the cod are defo in the river in the biggest nombers iv seenin 20 years.
