Because we are too busy sending "aid" to all the other countries throughout the world instead of looking in our own back yard !!!tell me why there are homeless in this country in this day and age ? i have just seen an advert on tv by the sally army for donations for the homeless, its an effing disgrace if you ask me, i read an article a few years ago about the 80 strong homeless community in nottingham, 80 ffs and thats just in nottingham ffs, what about the rest of the country ? there must be a few 1000 all over the country, wtf, whats going wrong ? i know there has always been a lot of homeless up an down the country, but why in this day and age ffs, what the ferks going on ?.
Plus, much of this so called "aid" is just palm greasing for trade deals. So the only people gaining anything from this "aid" are the rich..............................that will be the main reason they don't bother to look to their own countrymen, no profit it that !! -

aid to other countries shouldnt make any difference, no matter what the problems the homeless have, or why they have become homeless, there should be something in place so peeps are not living on the streets, yes i know there are hostles, but they are mostly full, a ferking disgrace thats what it is, an old m8 of mine ( dead now ) spent 6 months on the streets, riding round on the busses fur as long as possible to keep warm, another person i knew found dead in an old building died thru hypothermia, no one should have to sleep on the streets no matter what the circunstances are.Because we are too busy sending "aid" to all the other countries throughout the world instead of looking in our own back yard !!!

another point is, councils are obliged to find a family with kids some where to stay, b&b etc, the same seems to go for women, but when it come to a single bloke it seems to me that they seem to think can stand living on the streets, and im talking thru experience here.support mountain resue

You also have to remember that some people want to be homeless, strange but true. There have been a lot more since (lack of) care in the community was introduced and a fair number of them are mentally unstable - does strange things to people.
TBH the government nor councils give a ck, since none of the homelss are voters and even if they were they wouldn't be the majority. You're right, there shouldn't be and homeless in the UK and the ethic should be look after your own before anyone else including aid to foreign countries, although this government 'gives' aid to India even though the Indian government asked it not to *shrug*My master plan is to live forever..... going to plan so far

I think mental health is one of the biggest problems, this could be the only reason some folk would truly become homeless!
Life for so many is simply to complicated, even for a semi together person its tough meeting all the expectations and maintaing a basic living standard, add a few negative issues to an already unstable mind and the result is survival which in the worst case would be begging with an empty stomach and no roof of your head..
MP's are blinkered one side saying one thing whilst the other says the opposite and as always the truth is some where in the middle..
We should not have homeless in this country in 2013, if some one wants to be homeless then they are a traveller which is a way of life some folk want which is a different subject.Go for it. The future is promised to no oneComment

Totally agree, but it is about priorities and those with a different agenda are arranging the priorities to suit. Hence my remark about the rich getting richer through Britain's Aid Programmes.aid to other countries shouldnt make any difference, no matter what the problems the homeless have, or why they have become homeless, there should be something in place so peeps are not living on the streets, yes i know there are hostles, but they are mostly full, a ferking disgrace thats what it is, an old m8 of mine ( dead now ) spent 6 months on the streets, riding round on the busses fur as long as possible to keep warm, another person i knew found dead in an old building died thru hypothermia, no one should have to sleep on the streets no matter what the circunstances are.Comment

Yep I agree aid should be wound in.
The government are always trying to simplify the need to pay down the countries debt, they like to give ****ogies of personal debt especialy credit cards etc. Now if in a personnal financial situation you can give away the % this country does I would not consider my debt situation to exist!Go for it. I have always been one for sending aid to other coutries until earlier this year when I found out exactly how much we had sent to India and they are sending a rockets to space and planning a mission to the moon and mars??Because we are too busy sending "aid" to all the other countries throughout the world instead of looking in our own back yard !!!

Well there is a trick with aid - it's given but only if the aid money is spent with certain companies. My brother came across this when he was working in Haiti. The aid money can only be spent with companies authorised by the UN. I dare say it's the same for the aid given by the UK government as well. The point being that the cost of buying much needed equipment or food with the aid money is much higher than you local branch of Harrods, so give a country ?10 million to buy tents and then the only place they can buy tents from charge ?100,000 per 1 man tent tent *shrug*
Anyway more should be done to help those in the UK, but this government is so hell bent on breaking up the welfare state that it won't help at all. After all they have the backing of the country at large who want to see those on benefits get less. As people get less money they have choices to make one of them being whether to eat or have a roof over their heads. This is only going to get worse, the government has created a housing bubble getting ore into debt with mortgages etc that they can't really afford. Right now the interest rate is low, watch what happens when the BOE rate rises back to 5% - more repossessions and more hardship. Bet the banks don't lose.... just people losing their homes.
The Indian government didn't ask for it and didn't want it.One word for the indian government - PRIORITIES!!!
