Shields is a victim of diplomacy. If he is released early then the government thinks that would open the flood gates for similar release of prisoners transferred to their home countries to finish their sentences. Sad but true.

In Biggs case it was a case of 'you can't steal a lot of money and serve a few years and come out rich'. Also if he says he is sorry for what he has done he would be out tomorrow.

This crazy British law' If you don't show remorse then you can't be released.

No m8 not at all. I read his Autobiography (Biggs) and the driver died 8 years later with unrelated injuries. A lot of people think he died because of injuries sustained , wich is not true.

The driver died of lukemia, Biggs ~~~~ed off to Brazil lording it pu, if he had stayed and served his sentance he would of had 35 years freedom by now, he choose to live it up, he released a record with the sex pistols, ffs.

As for shields, its a ~~~~ing joke lad should be free to be on the Kop next season.
