    [Beginners Tutorial] How To Download From Online Hosting Sites

    Ok this is a simple tutorial for when you are downloading from Online Hosting Sites.

    Some of you maybe familar with them, but many are not.

    If someone has hosted a file and gives you the link to download or perhaps you get the link from a forum post you will need to download it to get the file.

    Many of the sites hide advertising or links to the premium accounts all around the page so that you end up clicking them instead of the link you actually want and possibly paying for something you dont need to.

    It dosent cover every single type of host just the more popular ones.

    This tutorial explains how to use them ....

    I will start with the more common hosts

    Rapidshare



    A] The company.
    B] The file we are downloading.
    C] This is to get you to pay for the downlod (dont do it) ;o).
    D] This is the button we want.



    A] The File we are downloading.
    B] The size of the file.
    C] The time that appears after you press the button, as a free user you have to wait for this to countdown.



    A] This shows what type of user.
    B] The file we are downloading.
    C] This is the button we need for the real download.



    A] The file we are downloading.
    B] The host it has come from.
    C] Click Save File
    D] Click Ok

    Then the file will save onto your hard drive.


    Megaupload



    A] The company.
    B] The file we are downloading.
    C] The file size.
    D] The code that they want you to enter.
    E] This is where you put the code (i have entered it so you can see how to enter it, often it must be exact, capitals etc.
    F] Click this button after you enter the code.



    A] The file we are downloading.
    B] The file size.
    C] The link you can use to share with other people.
    D] The button they want you to press so they make you pay.
    E] The timer you have to wait until it counts down before you can download.



    A] The timer will change to a button...Click It



    A] The file we are downloading.
    B] The host it has come from.
    C] Click Save File
    D] Click Ok

    Then the file will save onto your hard drive.

    Hotfile



    A] The company.
    B] The file we are downloading.
    C] This is to get you to pay for the downlod (dont do it) ;o).
    D] This is the correct download button.
    E] Information on the difference between their free and premium accounts.



    A] The file we are downloading.
    B] The timer wait till it goes to zero.
    C] Ignore all of these wait for the timer.



    A] The file we are downloading.
    B] The correct download link Click It.



    A] The file we are downloading.
    B] The host it has come from.
    C] Click Save File and click OK

    Then the file will save onto your hard drive.

    Deposit Files



    A] The company.
    B] The file we are downloading.
    C] The file size.
    D] The download button you need to press.



    A] Free user mode.
    B] The file size.
    C] The adverts to get you to pay for the download.
    D] The Timer wait till it reaches zero.



    A] The correct download button.



    A] The file we are downloading.
    B] The host it has come from.
    C] Click Save File
    D] Click Ok

    Then the file will save onto your hard drive.

    Uploading



    A] The company.
    B] The file we are downloading.
    C] Click the download button.
    D] Advertising to get you to pay ignore it.



    A] The file we are downloading.
    B] The file size.
    C] The Timer, wait till it reaches zero to get the download link.



    A] The timer changes to a button, Click It.



    A] The file we are downloading.
    B] The host it has come from.
    C] Click Save File
    D] Click Ok

    Then the file will save onto your hard drive.

    Mediafire



    A] The company.
    B] The file and size.
    C] More info and share links.
    D] The download link.



    A] The file we are downloading.
    B] The host it has come from.
    C] Click Save File
    D] Click Ok

    Then the file will save onto your hard drive.

    Sendspace



    A] The company.
    B] The file and size.
    C] Adverts to get you to pay.
    D] The download link.



    A] The file we are downloading.
    B] The host it has come from.
    C] Click Save File
    D] Click Ok

    Then the file will save onto your hard drive.

    Hopefully this will help many people, even if it helps one its worthwhile.

    mate that is some hardcore awesome work.. Make yourself a brew and take a well deserved break..!!

    IMO would make an excellent sticky in the Downloads and Streams section, probably a good one to have in every sub-forum of that section..

      Great tut that m8. I wish there was a tut like this when i first started to use the net as i must have paid for that many accounts to get one d/load.

          As always Chim m8 your tutorial is outstanding.

          Believe me guys this bloke knows his stuff and is definately a great asset to DK. I know him from another place on the net and have seen tuts he has done before and followed them, they are brilliant.

                first class - even i can understand and follow that.

                like mk i also know chim from another forum and he is a very useful guy to have around. always willing to help without making people feel stupid (which a lot of people do but dont always realise)
