Sorry about your predicament m8, if i remember rightly the same instance happen to some binmen working for Bury council. The men got dismissed took the council to a tribunal, recieved a undisclosed payoff so long as they signed a confidential agreement but were never reinstated.Comment

Long shot, but ask your company for a copy of their disciplinary procedure.
Could maybe find a loophole if they haven't prepared it properly.Comment

Bring a gun to the meeting. beat the high score and remember for every kid killed you gain a page up in the newspapers! (children are worth like 5 adults in news ratings, but only if you kill em, maiming wont cut it bro)

Seriously though? id go in to work and see who youve got on your side management wise to get decent references off of and start looking for work.
Your situation sucks, but hopefully it'll be onwards and upwards for you. it might turn out that this was just the kick you needed to make you truly happy

right i will keep it simple i have been down a couple of avenues and delayed the process of my hearing i get my answer this wednesday
i have been charged with two counts of gross misconduct,
fraud against the company for tipping bins for reward and the illegal carriage of waste
they have me on cctv tipping a bin with my company's logo on it
i have denied any wrongdoing and have claimed that my tipping the bin that has my companies logo on was an honest mistake.
i never put the bin there and do not know how it got there
if the bin was not there in the first place i would have not of made the mistake of tipping it.
i am sorry i should have checked my roundsheet better.
i have a letter from the shop in question saying i have never received a penny off them
can they still charge me for gross misconduct as they have no proof of any moneys being taken
i believe the charge should be misconduct for not checking my work properly and should result in a warning
can i be sacked? what do you think?Comment

It sounds like you now have a good argument and could get off with a warning, especially since the shop are backing your claim that you didn't get any money.

I'm really sorry to hear that m8. Get your appeal in straight away. If that fails theres always a tribunal you can go to.
Happened to a couple of guys in work. They were sacked, lost their appeal but won the tribunal. Only thing is they do not have to give you your job back, and the payout is not that great. I hope you find something soon m8.
