I agree with Ted, get a huge American one, and keep it filled!

I used to have a fridge at my workshop, but it bust and decided to freeze everything! There was beer and coke everywhere!

Seriously though, fair play to ya, sure every bloke wishes their other half would buy them a beer fridge!!

lainie, they aint worth a sh*t if your meaning the run of the mill ones you get from asda/tesco etc etc, you know what i mean, like the ones ya usually see with the beer emblum on them like stella etc, they are rubbish, they dont chill the beer down very well at all.

To get a small fridge that will cool the stuff right down like a normal fridge does, you need to buy one of those ones like you get in a hotel, the wee small ones that even have a wee tiny freezer big enough for a few ice cubes, those little machines work a treat, but they obviously dont look as nice as the glass fronted beer fridges.

and then if you have lots of cash to spare, you can buy one of the ones like you get in a pub, they also work perfect and chill the beer down very cold etc, plus they look great too, but they are expensive, you will see if you have a look on all the websites for these type of goods.

            hope this helps.

Ive got one thats egg shaped and looks like Morks spaceship.

Keeps my coke chilled nicely and it holds 15 cans at full capacity, all blue LED's n stuff unless i turn it onto hot mode and then it goes red.

Well recommended, saves me having to walk downstairs to get a drink

yea do that lainie, but as i says before, dont waste your money on the typical beer fridges, they are useless, especially in warm weather and if your using it a lot like beer in/out etc every 30 minutes, it all depends on what you think or see as being cold or cool, i know i love my beers very cold, so i have my fridge set close to freezing point or maybe just 1 or 2degrees above freezing, that way you get ice cold beers, but you need to be carefull not to freeze any salad at the same time, hehehhe, so it swings n roundabouts, all i know is i know what cold beer is and not so cold, so beware.

                  p.s
if your wanting great ice cold beers (not frozen) then you need the fridge tempreature to be at about 1c to about 4 or 5c at the most, so if you look at the specifications of the fridge your buying then it should say what tempreatures it can achive.

its for coke and me pear cider as well as beer so like to be really really cold. i just thought id buy somewhere for the drinks to go separately as it takes up so much room in the fridge and always having to move stuff about to cram stuff in (when im at his) and that does me box in.

im currently doing a survey of pear cider - so far

bulmers - shite (tastes nothing like pear cider)
kopparberg - absolutely lovely - delicious
magners pear - in the fridge (still to taste)
brothers pear cider (worst so far - vile)

going to ikea over the weekend for some of theirs as i heard its lovely

, good stuff, i would imagine the magners is good, ive not touched cider in years though, away back when the crazy electric white and white lightening was the mad stuff, .

and ye i know what you mean about just wanting a seperate wee fridge for the beers/ciders, but honestly, if your wanting fast cold ciders/beers you can forget those run of the mill beer fridges, unless your prepared to wait hours for them to cool down, or even worse in warm weather it can take days to get to a cold level, if it even can get cold that is compared to a decent fridge.

                      p.s
see if it doesnt have a small freezer compartment or if it doesnt have auto defrost, then forget it, it wont get cold enough.

yea i know, but unfortunatley lainie, thats the kinda money you will need to spend to get something that does the job good (nice ice cold beers and ciders), plus you can put anything in them fridges not just wine, .

you might find a similar spec one but cheaper if you look around.

lainie, if your not too bothered how it looks you could always get one of those ones i spoke about earlier, like the ones you get in hotels, the wee tiny ones.

i checked on currys website, they have 3 of them, ?79, ?89 and ?99, mini bars they are called, thats what you need if you want ice cold drinks and not wanting to spend over 200quid etc, but like i say, they arent as nice looking as the more expensive glass front models.

(sorry for double posting there, i meant to add that post to the other, ohh well, too late now)
