    petrol pricing

Now that the oil companies and the OPEC nations have conditioned us to think that the cost of a litre is CHEAP, we need to take aggressive action to teach them that BUYERS control the market place
not sellers. With the price of petrol going up more each day, we consumers need to take action. The only way we are going to see the price of petrol come down is if we hit someone in the pocket by not
purchasing their Petrol! And we can do that WITHOUT hurting ourselves. Here's the idea:

For the rest of this year DON'T purchase ANY petrol from the two biggest oil companies (which now are one), ESSO and BP.

If they are not selling any petrol, they will be inclined to reduce their prices. If they reduce their prices, the other companies will have to follow suit. But to have an impact we need to reach literally millions of Esso and BP petrol buyers. It's really simple to do!!

Now, don't wimp out at this point... keep reading and I'll explain how simple it is to reach millions of people!!

I am sending this note to a lot of people. If each of you send it to at least ten more (30 x 10 = 300)... and those 300 send it to at least ten more (300 x 10 = 3,000) ... and so on, by the time the
message reaches the sixth generation of people, we will have reached over THREE MILLION consumers! If those three million get excited and
pass this on to ten friends each, then 30 million people will have been contacted! If it goes one level further, you guessed it... ..

    THREE HUNDRED MILLION PEOPLE!!!

I don't think there are that many suppliers of petrol in the UK, so basically a monopoly.

I think you are approaching this from the wrong angle.
About 70% of the price is tax.
Imaging you were selling a commodity to another country and that country slaps a 70% tax on it. You would think that country was taking the piss if they complained about the price. Every time the oil suppliers put the price up the Government rakes in even more money it can waste.
I think it would be more productive, if we all said, we want the tax to be reduce.

You're right Alec but do you think the gov would listen. It would take a huge trucker strike to bring everything to a standstill before the gov would take any notice Then they'd probably just sent the army in. Oil is money!

Petrol is refined in the UK,if you dont buy from an Esso service station. You can bet Asda round the corner, stocks exactly the same fuel as the Esso gaff, and from the same refinery.

So really Esso still get your custom either way.

Far simpler option would be to use less fuel.

forget it the prices wont go down, they may fluctuate but look at the country infact look at the world, food, energy, fuel all going up, unstable currencies , its all in place to cripple us, we will end up with the euro as the ? crashes, just as the us dollar will crash and they,ll end up with the amero currency (usa/canada/mexico) (google it)

may not be any time soon but its all geared to go that way, pressure pressure and more pressure will in the end have the gov telling you its a good idea and everyone will say well if it helps us we will accept it.

dont worry its not coming next week , but you just watch they'll make everyone lifes so unbearable that any option they put forward will have the masses agreeing with what they want. very clever people getting what they want but making it seem like you want it.

do i believe it? i don't know, but i wont discount it.

                    Blame the Government

At the end of the day if the Gorvernment didn't TAX everything to the levels of THEFT then the problem would not be as bad.

                    Just my thoughts of course.

Your right, THAT problem would not be as bad, but others would. They steal billions from petroleum taxes every year, and they would move it to something else plus another 10 percent for the effort.

By the way , did anyone notice the typical pathetic british truck blockade yesterday ?
i thought the idea of a blockade was to well block something not leave a middle lane open for traffic to pass through....
the French must be pissing themselves at us...

if I ever work in a big city I'm gonna buy a 125cc motorbike
I work about 15 min drive away from my house so it's not so bad atm. ?15 lasts a week.

living costs (read: tax) goes up but my wages don't, I used to work an hour's drive away due to traffic, can't afford that on a ?7 an hour salary
