i am thinking about getting ps3 or wii but not sure which is better help

in my eyes i would go for wii, but it depends what games you like playing, if you like good graphics, shooting/car racing games it would be ps3. if you like fun games then the wii. the wii is a whole new world. plus you can mod the wii (if you know what i mean) then games are ten a penny

Thats a bollocks attitude to be honest Mate. If you like the games, buy them for ~~~~s sake. The developers have a right to be paid for their work as you do. If the game is complete shite delete it, no harm done. If you like and play it, buy the fekking thing and don't be a total tosser by stealing it.

I have both and have to say that as a family we play the Wii more, Wi fit, Wii Sport etc. The whole family get's involved, from my 4 year old son to my 75 year old gran. it is great for parties and you can really break a sweat withit.
I have also downloaded some old skool games such a "streets of rage, Maro, sonic 1, etc.

Now the PS3 is also great but only the the lads in the house play it, but we are all old skool PS gamers, from GTA to Final Fantasy. the on-line play is great and the watching films is great, as the Wii you can download some old classics and also link it to the PSP (if you’ve got one) there is a drawback if you don't own a Hi-Def TV it is not worth it as you lose out and the graphics and can really effect your game play

Hmm, someones missing the point here

I hate the Wii, even the 'free' games don't compensate for that fact that it's garbage, I'd choose the PS3.

But both are a waste of money in my opinion, buy the Xbox 360, free games and a real next-Gen console, unlike the Wii.

Nah, I wasn't missing the point so much as being drunk in charge of a keyboard and had the worst day for a long time. Not a good mixture. My appologies, for the tone of the post, I'm generally a well balanced individual (I have a chip on each shoulder )

yeah i got a wii and its sweet mario kart and pro evo are such fun for us adults , ps3 is a beast of a machine price keeps droping so maybe u cud get both

Ive got a wii and a 360, think until the game catalogue gets better on ps3 then think the 360 will beat it, the wii is just fun

I know PS3 also comes with a Blu Ray disc reader, but wii looks fun as well.

I have both the wii and the ps3 and i love both of them ! the wii is a family consul which everyone can play for fun but the ps3 is more of an adult / teenager oriantated machine so for family entertainment for all ages its the wii, for pure hardcore gaming its the ps3/xbox360.
