    Christmas plans

So tell us all about your Christmas plans. Is it a nice family Christmas, or do you have to work. Are you one of the lucky ones who is going abroad for some winter sun?.
Me I'm working on Xmas day, out in the taxi and working straight through to the 29th. I'm away to Portpatrick for the bells.

Hopefully it's correct all your ishit typos (will we see anshit typos?). I'm sure everyone wishes your tablet the best for Christmas and hope it lives for at least a year - thus saving everyone needing to install a Meathead translator on their computers

I'd have to ask what is a normal Christmas? If you go by the 'soaps' (sh*t at the best of times) a normal Christmas would be being killed in a car crash just as you get stabbed, and or shot, and an aeroplane lands on you as a drunk driver crashes into you and a train wreck hits your car while being arrested for drink driving, as you try to put out the fire that's blazing it's way through your house.

Or do you mean having a great time surrounded by your family? the latter being the preferred option for everyone I know and I wish everyone the latter

Home for Christmas yesterday, 6 sessions of Radiotherapy done (piece of cake)Great meal today Back next Monday for 3 more and home New Years Eve. Then back Early January for three more full weeks of treatment. (25 in total)

                        We have the buggar tamed.

If caught early...I believe that cancer can be declassified from the serious condition it was thanks to the research and great strides taken to find cures.

I hope I'm not being insensitive with the above as I'm only too well aware of our other members who were less fortunate than I.

Early detection is paramount. I complained of nausea in the stomach was sent for tests and found the nausea was an ulcer but the scan also found the polyp which contained the cancer.

So, let us all drop the macho man thing and visit your GP.

I'm glad that it's going well for you My mother kicked cancer of the overies about 16 years ago and was given the all clear. As luck would have it she had a mini stroke 3 months back. Post stroke they gave her a scan and found she had a 3cm lump in her lung. She starts radiotherapy on 8th January for 20 days. 2nd time lucky we hope

Thanks GastonJ. Sorry to hear about your Mum. Radiotherapy is a piece of cake compaired to chaemotherapy and usually takes no more than 10 mins. with no dicomfort during it. My best wishes to your Mum for now and the future.
