I have seen that too were they burn the road markings off, but......depending on the colour of your blocks, could leave nasty black/scorch marks...ya wouldnt really notice them on tar but if you have dark blocks i would reckon it would work with a decent burner!

try it out on a spare block or on one that wouldnt be too noticeable!

If you put all the blocks that have paint together a bet you would end up with a disabled parking sign

Are the bricks not the 2 sided ones you can turn round??

What about a bit of brick acid and a good high power jet wash.

heat gun + scraper works to remove the bulk.

Then turps/white spirit/some other solvent + wirewool and elbow grease does the rest.

When I read the thread title I was hoping you were going to make the road outside your house into one big luxury lane for drivers... like Kramer did in Seinfeld.

i have removed roadmarkings before. iif the material is paint we usually use a blowtorch to heat up the paint and scrape it off, or in your case i would find a spray can with a similar color to your bricks and spray over the top of it. check out www.whitelines.com.au on how they remove roadmarkings.

Warm water & bleach.... then use a good old wire brush... works well everytime & gives you a good sweat.
