    claim tax back on workwear

did you realise that you can claim tax back on workwear with a company logo on that you have to clean your self if your firm has no cleaning facilitys. just write a letter to the tax office telling them that you have to clean your own work clothes. along with your name NI No. dob. your company name. and how long you have worked there. good luck every little helps..

I remember reading ages ago about how tradesmen can claim for tax allowences on buying tools etc. Does anyone know how to go about doing this?

Think you need to contact your tax office and ask them about these allowances.

                THE TRUTH
                The Hillsborough Independent Panel. 12/09/12

Today's report is black and white. The Liverpool fans were not the cause of the disaster.
The panel has quite simply found 'no evidence' in support of allegations of 'exceptional levels of drunkenness, ticketlessness or violence among Liverpool fans' and 'no evidence that fans had conspired to arrive late at the stadium' and 'no evidence that they stole from the dead and dying'.

it also doesnt have to be a logo. As long as you have your company name on any of the garments you can offset the cost against tax! Like you said a nice little bonus. I get mine from http://www.hivizworkwear.net

You can buy text embroidery online there and its really easy to setup.

it's good to be able to claim tax back off the government. Especially since I have to pay ?48 a month tax (benefit in kind) on a company car that I'm not allowed to use for personal use because of the "perceived" beneift of having a company car. I'll be stinging the bastards for everything I can get out of them.

Can we also claim for electricity for charging up mobile hones / digital cameras etc does anyone know?
