Do cashback sites deliberately hold cash??

Last month my sister asked me to change her Broadband from virgin to BT as the speeds on her virgin where really poor! 15Mb (everytime she phoned them they blamed it on wifi.. even though it was hard wired)..

So i went round in mid February and signed her up to BT via Quidco and claimed the ?110 cashback.

It tracked and said because i'm a premium member that it is estimated to be paid on the 9th of april..

On the 25th of march i logged in as i needed some flights and travel insurance.. i checked my activity and noticed that the payment for the broadband was now the 3rd September?

I logged into live chat with them and sent them a message and she instantly said "Oh i can pay it now if you like?"

I asked her how can she just instantly pay this cashback before the initial date of the 9th of april.. she never replied.. then about half hour later i got an email saying that it had been confirmed and payed into my account..

I found this all very odd..

I seems to me that this site and probably many more deliberately hold the cash back.. more than likely for reasons of interest or in the hope that some members wont pick up on it and never question it!

I use Quidco for my car insurance. I did that this week for next year, April to April. It is usually about August when I get the cash back.

Quidco give you more than any other site I have found. I don't mind them holding onto the money for a month or two, they are in the business of making money in order to do what they do so I accept that.

I don't mind waiting either! afterall its free money. but what got me was the fact that this person could instantly pay the cashback without having to wait!!

Never heard of them, but it would be best if they hold it, think how much money there going to give out in one hit, don't want to go bust
