new house...

Finally moved into yet another house that my good lady says "nothing needs done to it".Ive got two weeks off work and im lifting up the floor prior to putting central heating in,adding new lights in the bedroom and wall lights in the front room,putting a few new ariels in the loft,adding some fernox cleaner in the header tank while im up there,laying some hardcore down under the floor in the front room for fireplace for a log burner,putting shelves up under the stairs and she haves a go at me when she comes in from work cos the dishes aren't done.
Where would I be without her?The club probably.....

Ha,cheers mate,we moved in the end of feb and im trying to get the bulk of the work done before I get back to work (or run out of money,whichever comes sooner)got my new ladders from amazon coming tomorrow so I can sort the roof out,stroll on....

The only proper hardcore in our house at the minute meaty is once a fortnight,furry side up with the light out if ive got any strength left.And the pansies will have to wait ifred,if im going to put anything in the garden this year it will be the wife.....oh well,here we go,another lovely sunny day in shields and im up in the bloody loft again,regards gentlemen....

Ha,cheers garrry1312,would you believe my new ladders arrived just now with a bent rung so off back they went,i suppose that gets me out of the roof work for the now....and thanks,theres no better way to get to know a house than pulling it to bits...(and im saying its new its not its 19 year old,if only the wife was as well)

a man can dream well there's your excuse mate to get your feet up and crack open a few beers. I finish in half an hour, some good news the day so back to the digs with a grin on my face, pint and a wee half and sit out in the beer garden and enjoy whats left of the sun for today

Good couple of pints it was mate work announced last week that work would be ramping down until final investment is in meaning 400 to loose there jobs.... In a meeting today and found out my jobs safe. Shame for others though and won't be the same dropping from 650 to 250
