Freeview Digital Recorder Out to TV

    Hi
Because i have cancelled my Sly Subscription i went out and bought a digital recorder.
The problem i have is that the tv outs on my sly+box were connected to an aerial lead into my sons bedroom and he used to be able to watch whatever we were on the set in our lounge.
Since i bought the digital recorder I cant get the freeview program that is selected on the freeview recorder to show on the other tv.
Any recommendations please as I dont want to use the videos sender things
    Thanks in advance

so what output options do you have with your freeview recorder? If you have a spare SCART socket you could always get an RF modulator. that will let you connect from freeview to modulator via SCART and from the modulator to TV via coaxial cable.

it just lets you convert a SCART signal to coax like this one here: [ame=http://www.amazon.co.uk/ILS102-MODULATOR-ALLOWS-SCART-SOCKET/dp/B000M6SMKW/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1252227702&sr =8-1]ILS102 RF MODULATOR | ALLOWS SCART INTO COAX SOCKET: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics & Photo[/ame]

I'm not in any way endorsing this as I have no idea whether or not it's any good, just showing you what one is.

If your freeview box doesn't have a RF modulator - you could use an old VHS recorder if you have one lying around. Connect the scart from the freeview box to the VHS recorder, select the input as Aux in etc on the VHS recorder. Then connect the VHS recorder to the tv and tune the tv to the output channel of the VHS recorder.

That's what I used to do to plug a dvd player into a tv without a scart socket.

By DIGITAL RECORDER, do you mean a PVR with a built in Hard Drive --- could it be a HUMAX ??

If it is they have a LOOP OUT socket next to the ANTENNA IN which connects to the RF IN on a TV using an RF cable......

This is assuming your using a SCART to YOUR personal tv .....

                  Hope this helps??
