    sat nav

    loooking at a sat nav cos i need one but have no cash would this be any good for me very cheap at ?45



    does anyone know if it will update the software or any that will update the software for a very similar price

    if ya buy a garmin or navman ya can get the new maps on this site for them

      canny beat the garmin m8 ,ive had one for 2 years with no probs , as daithi55 said if you need to update maps get them here simples

        got a tom tom myself and its so easy to use etc cant comment on any others though. soz.

          i would take a garmin, even second hand before i would buy that crap.

              Had a garmin before, ended up giving it a nickname "John John".

              Was only a cheapish one but it never seemed to take the best route, and the gps seemed to crash alot, even with updated software etc.

              Can't go wrong with a TomTom if your lucky pick up on an oldish cheap pocketpc with a gps receiver, can sometimes be cheaper!

                only ever used a tomtom 1 XL uk and ireland , borrowed off my mate and it's bloody amazing ! , the Garmins seem to be half the price in outlet shops etc , can anyone give me an idea of how they stack up against each other ?

                  Get yourself a road atlas for a fiver from your nearest garage.
                  If you've got a map why would you need a sat nav?

                      You could read the map before you set off. Anyway, I prop mine up on the steering wheel as I'm driving along.
