    Fireworks and Dog Dope

Fireworks seem to have gone on sale early this year, im hearing them constantly around here, which is no problem for me.

My dog on the other hand doesnt appreciate them one little bit.
Hes been cowering for two days now and downright refuses to go outside for fear of the bangy things attacking.

This poses certain problems associated with the fact hes a greedy fat bastard and what goes in must come out.

A friends aunt has a dog and she gets him stoned on something from the pet shop during the firework period to calm hers down and make him indifferent to the sounds of bagdad ensuing outside.
This seems like a fine idea to me, anything to mellow him out and temporarily relieve some of his distress is fine by me.

Ive got no idea what im really looking for and dont want to pick up the wrong thing and wind up hurting my wee boy, hes already had a shroom experience as a pup (ate a stack of them the idiot) and i dont really want to cause him any more distress than hes already experiencing.

Anyone on here have any experience of doping their mutt? Some sort of Canine diazepam?
What am i looking for to chill him out and hopefully get him outside for a shit?
He who laughs last thinks slowest.
