my mate sold a nice mobile phone on ebay last week for ?140,the winning bidder was in holland, he then recieved an email from what appeared to be paypal saying that the item had been payed for but they were holding back the funds as there had been a couple of complaints on his account for something, but they would release the funds as soon as the buyer had recieved it. the buyer appeared to be a woman and said that her husband was working in nigeria and could he post it asap by royal mail with a signature required and she would pay what ever it cost.
after that she kept pestering about where it was by email, and he posted it.
any way he's since been on to paypal and they are aware of the scam aswell as royal mail who cant stop the package and also new all the scam.
thought that the more people who know about this the better.
by the way my mate is no dummy, so they must have been very good.
