Barstewards, anyway the aside the forum is great naturally I found this looking for certain stuff which I found, however it is now much much more ive found myself enjoying the people the chat the banter the topics all of it, regardless of the download sections beong gone for now im around for the duration keep up the good work all involved at admin level. I also urge everyone else to do so and im sure DF will hjave us going again soon, thanks again.

I'm new here as you can see and had just posted a question for some help with my DB500c.

Came back next day to find I couldn't access the cable forum and right away having had past experience with a lot of forums assumed I'd been banned for asking the wrong questions .

Anyhoooo DF soon put me right after I sent a private message and many thanks for that.

On the travesty which has come upon the cable forum, well its just sad really isnt it, a shame that someone would stoop so low......

Then again on the other hand has no one considered it might be the work of the cable providers striking back?

Meanwhile best of luck with getting the show on the road again hopefully as soon as possible, I'll have to make do with the freeview channels til I get my questions answered .......poor me

the server host is someone/somewhere that supplies a forum some web space , this can be anything in size , depending on the size of the forum and how many members use it, the more that use it frerquently the slower it will get, so its best to got for a server allowing more space to store stuff.

Its common for forums to have over 2gb of space, so the more the size the more you have to pay..

things like arcade sections, smilies, uploading to the forum all adds towards the allowance..

This is still the case, we do not have copyright material on the server...but the host didn't want to know. They're willing to take the word of some pussy behind an email over mine or before doing their own investigating.

Nevermind...

Forum software is not the problem, we will always be with vBulletin. It's the company that physically owns the server.

As an afterthought, and to add to all the conspiracy theories so far- but it's only been a few weeks since DK suffered a one week outage whilst changing servers to the present host.

Could it be the last host who's stirring the shite?

I'm sure this info is inaccurate. We've been with the current host for about 4 months now.
