You save on hoover bags but wind up offsetting that on the blasted filter things.

They're good, ive got two, one is an upright for hoovering everywhere, the other is a cylinder that i use for stairs and powertools mostly, every other vacuum seems to clog with heavy ammounts of sawdust and swarf but the dysons really dont lose suction. its also easier to dump a canister of junk than to mess about with bags whilst your sanding something down.

Id recomend them as ive had good experiences with both units ive owned.

i bought the animal version think it could be better at picking up dirt, also picked up 2 different older models that were returned for recycling that i use in other rooms to hoover up sand and grit and potting compost so as not to wreck the new dyson, not washing the filters regularly will cause the unit to overheat, and do not suck up the likes of plaster dust or flour

Money well spent if you ask me.
Make sure you rinse the filter out on a regular basis and you'll have summat that'll suck for many a year.
I refuse to answer that question on the grounds that I do not know the answer.

Been using them for years... We have a dc08 at the mo... and is the best yet by along shot. Better than the uprights and great for doing the stairs. Still don't know what the round brush with the soft bristles is for though.
