Facebook Removes Poll Asking Whether President Obama Should be Assassinated

Facebook has been forced to remove a poll, which was user-generated, that asked whether the President of the United States should be killed. The answers included yes, no, maybe and "if he cuts my health care".
The poll is now being investigated by the US secret service. Over 750 users took part in the poll, with some expressing their disgust at the question. One said it was "sick and sad" and another said "All of this anti-Obama rage is pure racism".
The poll generator is an outside application which has now been completely removed from Facebook. It will be reinstated when the third-party developer ensures Facebook that the offensive poll has been removed.

It is things like that that get peer sites bad names.

Who ever it was that set that poll up should be charged with incitement.

It doesn't matter if you are racist, homophobic or anything, forums including lots of folk of many religious beliefs, colours, sexual preferences are not the place to post things like this. (I am not saying I am perfect).

People should hold their tongues (fingers) and respect other folks views.

Wouldn't that be counted as a threat? and if so isn't it a federal offence to threaten the president? Whoever posted it is probably being questioned somewhere by the secret service.
