does any one know know whare to find cep mushrooms ,boletus edulus.i have a few good spots but as we have had a lot of rain recently they are starting to rot well most of the ones i have found are past thier best,one specimen was 12 inces across but was full of magots.so you see the problem.

brown rice, several jars a big pot, sheets of paper and some water.

boil the jars in the big pot of boling water and make some sludge from boiling water and brown rice.

Stick this sludge into the sterilised jars.

cut the stems off several caps and leave them sporeside down on some paper and dry them ever so slowly in an airing cupboard.

dust the rice sludge with spores and seal the jars and then just wait

Shrooms all year round.

Ive not done shrooms in years or even went harvesting though but ive noticed a distinct lack of fields lately whilst walking my dog, figured because last year was dry and its been a dry summer there would be a good harvest but like you said everything ive seen has been riddled.

Spores should be intact though so they should still cultivate nicely.

only if you eat them.If you smoke them the tabaco is more dangrous
