In other words, I'm going to talk about when sex goes wrong - and could land you in casualty.
Fractured penis: True, there's no bone involved, not even when you're aroused. But "fractured penis" does exist. Thankfully, it's rare.
During an erection, tissue inside your penis fills with blood until it's rigid.
If it's forcefully bent - say, through gymnastic lovemaking - it can snap. You might even hear it. Cue instant loss of erection. And severe pain and bruising.
This needs more than some sticking plaster - next stop, A&E.
Torn frenulum: In uncircumcised men, a flap of skin connects the penis to the foreskin. This can get torn during sex. It'll be sore for a few days but usually heals itself.
Trouble is, it can keep happening.
Try giving the horizontal jogging a rest for a while to let it settle - and then use lubricants or condoms. But if it keeps happening, you may need a circumcision.
Painful ejaculation: That look on your face may not be ecstasy.
Pain in your privates at orgasm can be a sign of infection of your prostate, testicle or water tubes - so see your doc.
Orgasm headache: A sudden, severe headache at orgasm is usually a type of migraine - especially if it's happened a few times.
Your doc may be able to prescribe something to help. If it's the first time, though, it could - rarely - be a bleed in the brain.
Get your pants on and dial 999.
Paraphimosis: Uncircumcised? Forgot to roll your foreskin back after sex? Uh-oh.
Now you've woken up with a huge swelling at the end of your penis and you can't get the skin back.
That's a paraphimosis - your foreskin is throttling your penis. This is another one that needs a trip to casualty.
