My Son gave me a samsung O2 phone but when I put my vodofone card in it does not work very well, and just say`s invalid sim card although it works sometime. Will I be able to use it or is it usless? Can anyone tell me.

It's not working because it's locked to O2 network,
if the phone has been used..ie topped-up by more than ?150 (dunno what it is in the UK) then O2 should unlock it for free.
If not then just take it to one of those "phone unlocking shops" pay your 10 quid and you're sorted -

I think that You can do flash of Your phone and everithing will be fine. Some service of mobil phone can do it for You.
