    any sparkeys?

wanting to run a cable to my shed from my ring main in the house as a spur from the socket thing is the shed is around 70ft away from house so what i would like to know is

will the voltage be ok ( i heard you get a drop and you are not supposeed to put a spur over a certain amount of cable), is it legal, more importantly though willl it work

I done something the same a few years back,i had made the bedroom window into French doors, which opened onto a plenty full rear garden,my shed was approx 18 mtrs away.i took a spur from the nearest socket to the then window, used 6mm twin n earth cable, which was routed to the shed inside plastic plumbers pipe (over flow pipe i think ) which was buried 12 " down, worked Great for me, and as far as i know...was legal
suppose it depends what you intend to do in the shed m8 if its just for a light or socket for lawnmower etc, should fine.. good luck

cheers its just the length really i wasnt sure if it would be a problem because im sure i read somewhere that there was a limit on the size of the cable you could run on a ring main the cable isnt a problem i have have some armoured cable that will do the job
