How can I get rid of all these Motoring posts?

I dunno about you, but I'm not here to fix my car.

What was once a hacking forum is now a DIY Mechanics forum!

How do I get rid of sections I'm not interested in?

Poke yourself in the eyes with lit cigarettes and videotape it.

This will only work if you upload it to youtube though

Seriously though? Just avoid stuff your not interested in, seems to work for me, but every so often curiosity takes over my better judgement and i find myself balls deep in grease monkeys.

I dont mind the automotive subforum because then i know if i have a problem theres someone around to fix my junker.

Besides the automotive guys are alright, they dont seem to bother anyone so live and let live says i.
He who laughs last thinks slowest.

I must admit being surprised when I found DK first, to find a Motoring Section in what I was told was the best DIGITAL FORUM around......

But then my Car is DIGITAL -- you need a an OBD2 Scanner to read the Analysis Computer.... So good luck to them -- and it does seem very popular

As far as DK being the best DIGITAL FORUM around -- I've got to [under duress] agree with this
          [Now I've said it -- can I have my ?5.00 back ??!! ]

the motoring section is now one of the busiest parts of the forum as theres some very good guys in there.

as stated just dont look in there, unless you're refering to when you click on realtime posts you get loads of car posts??

Hmm, I think you are all missing my point.

I come to the forums and I click 'New Posts', 80% of the New Posts are about cars.

I'm not against the motoring section in the least. I just wish I could change a setting somewhere that would allow me to only view the Hacking stuff. I'm not trying to push the Motorists out the door!

                Forums To Exclude From View
Here you can select any number of forums to exclude from the forums list, from "get new" search and from "get daily" search.

To select multiple forums, press and hold CTRL key while clicking on the forum titles. To clear exclusion, select "Reset Exclusion" without holding CTRL key.

                  Cheers matey

                  Ooops, ran into trouble....

The list of forum sections is empty, should there be a list?

I've tried going to the main list and pressing CTRL and clicking on the sections I don't want but that just seems to open the page in another window.

I know how you guys feel....the motoring posts are not what I like to read either. But its very popular with others.

There is a mod that allows you to 'exclude' them from your view, like smirnoff has pointed out, but it doesn't work because of one of the other mods we have installed. I've just forgotten to remove the exclude mod.

I'll try and look into it more when I get some free time.
