    global warming a fraud

Hi all, this is the biggest news event of the century, but I couldn't see any coverage here? Basically, top government funded climate scientists have been twisting their data to falsify global warming. Their private data was hacked a couple of days ago, and is now all over the internet, such as the quotes below...

?I tried hard to balance the needs of the science and the IPCC , which were not always the same.? (Alleged CRU Emails - Searchable).

?I can?t see either of these papers being in the next IPCC report. Kevin and I will keep them out somehow ? even if we have to redefine what the peer-review literature is !? (Alleged CRU Emails - Searchable).

?I?ve just completed Mike?s Nature trick of adding in the real temps to each series for the last 20 years (ie from 1981 onwards) amd from 1961 for Keith?s to hide the decline.? (Alleged CRU Emails - Searchable).

?The fact is that we can?t account for the lack of warming at the moment and it is a travesty that we can?t. The CERES data published in the August BAMS 09 supplement on 2008 shows there should be even more warming: but the data are surely wrong.? (Alleged CRU Emails - Searchable).

?If anything, I would like to see the climate change happen, so the science could be proved right, regardless of the consequences.? (Alleged CRU Emails - Searchable)

For further info, just google 'climategate' it's getting 100,000's of hits globally!

Main stream media and the biased BBC aren't saying anything yet, but this isn't going away. As things stand, "Act On CO2" is based on fraudulent data, and sinking fast!

I have always thought that humans was too small to have any negative impact on the climate.

Also too small to have any positive impact.

A bit big headed to think humans have any impact or influence on a natural planet occurrence?

They've not actualy been falsifying data.

A few emails got hacked and the internal conversations have been taken completely out of context.

      For instance:
"I’ve just completed Mike’s Nature trick of adding in the real temps to each series for the last 20 years (ie from 1981 onwards) amd from 1961 for Keith’s to hide the decline."

Sounds really dodgy, but in science terms its not, scientists do NOT speak like they do when they present finding in Journals and peerage.
This is just "lab speak" for "a better more accurate way of doing things" for instance if someone says to me they've got a trick to get better data from a given dataset id automaticaly assume they've got a better system to measure accuracy rather than jump to the standard persons "dear gawd its fraud!"

The trick thats being refered to here i... wait for it:
To plot the instrumental records along with reconstruction so that the context of the recent warming is clear. As per the comments included in the 'Mann, Bradley and Hughes nature paper outlining multiproxy temperature reconstruction'

When everyone else in the lab knows of this its far easier to just refer to it as the "trick" than to type out that god awful phrase every time you need to refer to it.

As for hidden, i conceed that this is a very poor choice of words (given that the trend is "hidden" in plain sight and commented on)

The decline thats mentioned is erroneous data from Keith Briffa’s maximum latewood tree ring density proxy, where temperatures diverge from other datasets circa 1960 onwards, this is widely called the divergance problem and has been widely documented, so much so that its universaly agreed that the "trick" here is to ommit data from 1960 onwards from this dataset (at least until further study is made to figure out exactly why this set diverges from other sets) otherwise it introduces spiraling errors in the rest of the data.
This is a fairly commonplace practice in every scientific field i can think of, if theres something introducing errors into something, cut it out, stick it to one side and have someone research why the data was so innacurate to begin with.

So yeah... hence the shorthand that the layman will find concerning.

It should also be noted that not all the data has been released by the hackers, presumably because not all of it paints things in such negative light.

As for the rest of the emails, theres bickering, name calling and politiking as per ANY OTHER WORKPLACE, just because the average person views a scientist as sitting in some ivory tower of academia above such foibles as being human doesnt make it so.
Besides nice words dont effect the actual science, i can quite easily correspond with Einstein and we can call each other dickheads, it doesnt change the fact that the guy's mental capacity is solid and his theorems work for the most part.

All thats happened here is that certain "selective" data that looks concerning to a layman whom doesnt understand the language has been leaked by hypocritical little idiots, who dont seem to understand that reseach conducted on either side of the fence cant possibly be a bad thing.

I for one will sit happily watching on as the research from both camps (ie: climate change is man made vs climate change is naturaly occuring) before judging if its bunk science or not.

I hold the view that...the earth has suffered these climate changes many times in it's past and will do so many times in it's future. If, as a supposed "intelligent" species, we (humans) have had any effect on the apparent global warming then it is only in a small way and will only speed up a natural process by 100 years or so (a process which takes 1000's of years).

This said, it is no consolation for the poor souls who are already suffering due to adverse weather changes around the world.

Whether my view is right or wrong doesn't matter in the slightest as I will never be asked by the people in the know to address any type of conference on this matter. All I know is sh*t happens!

Reason for no comment on DK is that we (i at least) am/are freezing our goolies off turning dishes in the back garden and scoffing at the remotest thought of global warming. Must end- the frost-bite is acting up again.

Are you a clairvoyant then Chroma?

I think the released emails are open to interpretation like any info is.. I can see a lot of scaremongering going on relating to the global warming issue which provokes such releases of information either from hacks or somehow legitimately obtained info etc... I remember watching a documentary on this climate change issue a couple of years ago where they said that our planet goes through these changes naturally and has done many times in the past, additionally they did say though that this one could be happening a little faster than before (according to data from ice cores etc etc) but that it would happen anyway...

if the chinese government want it to rain to sort out a dry spell they seed the clouds and make it rain... admittedly they got it a little wrong recently and misjudged the weather and made it snow... but if you can make clouds then you can reduce temperatures and slow down this 'global warming'

How Did China Create Snow? 'Cloud-Seeding' in Beijing - TIME

China overdoes cloud seeding to end drought... and blankets Beijing in snow | Mail Online

They also sprayed the skies before the 2008 olympics to clear the pollution (as well as banning nearly all cars from the city etc)..

Why not just extend winter by a few weeks or something.. Also i remember that when i was a kid all the talk was that we were heading to a mini ice age.. now with 40 years of satellite gathered temperature info we are instead heading for the opposite.

This info that was leaked was available under the UK Freedom of Information Act, so long as they do not deleted it before they are due to give it to you... Freedom of Information Act. Guide, news, consultancy.

              global warming creates:
the right for governments to charge a green tax/congestion charges
for oil companys to keep prices high
and green journalists, who, to keep themselves in a job, only report all the scare stories
the world will come to an end when the sun burns out, which is estimated will be in about 5 billion years

Because of climate change the world will still end in 24 hours, for further details send me an Self Address Envope and allow 28 days for delivery.

This particular frenzy, if not checked, could end by bankrupting the West and leaving us sitting in the cold and the dark whistling for a wind to power our dead computers ? while China and India surge on to growth and prosperity because they have had the sense to ignore the whole stupid thing.

I couldn't agree with this more, there's nothing we can do to prevent nature from taking it's course - it's too vast for us simpletons to change. Unless of course those scientists have already figured out time travel and interstellar travel through space....even then the Earth is ~~~~ed, eventually it'll either collide with Andromeda or it'll get cooked up by the sun....though this is in millions of years time apparently and it's still largely guess work. But in terms of the planet, 1 person won't make a difference and if there's any danger of that he's shot dead. So what difference are we as a species to make on anything if we can't even sort ourselves out ?? The only thing we excel in, is ignorance.
