Same here, the Rottie comes from a really top line of dogs, know world wide and the folks who first had him had starved him and locked him in a yard that was all concrete so he was in a hell of a state.
Dai, was very insecure and aggressive and took an instant dislike to my wife which was scary to see. Most people just think Shar Pei's will stay the wrinkly lovable puppies portrayed by the media and the rich, unfortunately after folk rush and buy one not realising "who" is coming home with them and after checking out the pecking order will take over and scare the crap out of them if not corrected and loved.
Sorry you lost the setters, we lost our "Stella", another Rottie about 18 months back and still miss her to this day.

Well Holly had her visit to the vet today, all is well with her health and she weighed in at 8 kilos, the vet reckons that our next visit on the 9th Dec, she will have doubled in size
