    Iron v steam generators???

Ok I won't kid you on. I hate ironing and have been known (very often) to get my ironing done through a proper ironing company.

I was thinking of getting a new iron as maybe if I had a decent iron then I might find that ironing isn't so bad!!

do any of you guys/ gals have experience of these steam generators?

now when I say ironing, the most items I am likely to iron in a week would be 8 (I like to buy stuff that doesn't require ironing)

so is a decent iron good enough for me??

I did ask him and I offered to pay him the going rate but he is having none of it!! He did make a suggestion on a activity which if performed on a daily or even more frequent basis, might persuade him to do some of my ironing but he is asking for too much and the pleasure would be all his you know what I mean Lainie??

My hubby does all his own ironing cause I hate it but I just can't find an amicable solution to getting him to do mine too so I am afraid it is a new iron or a steam generator or I keep sending it out

                      THIS!!!!!

I worked in a residential care home for a spate, and i used to iron as part of my job on nightshift.

The trick is how you wash stuff, if you fold it correctly on the way in and straight as it comes out the dryer then 9 times out of 10 you dont need to iron

I dont even own an iron, if i need something pressed for an interview, wedding or funeral i just stick it under my mattress and sleep on it, i wake up and its all good.

The trick is in the folding.

                        haha folding! you amateur!

Any real man doesn't bother with any of that nonsense! What you need to do is just leave your stuff in the dryer and take it out as an when you need it. This will result in you going to the dryer every day to get clothes like a proper bloke does.

Been married and picked up some bad habbits, its like CIA reprogramming or something, ive even been known to spontaneously bust out the hoover, wash the dishes and make the bed.

Not to worry however ive found that even though i understand this behavior to be insane ive taken steps to remedy the situation.

After hoovering i burst a bag of crisps over the carpet to make myself feel better, after washing the dishes i get the dog to lick em and after making the bed i burn cigarette holes in the duvet just to punish myself for my irrational behavior.

                          Im reclaiming my batchelor roots!

pmsl You didn't pick up any bad habbits. You were "trained" or "reconditioned", or "program updated", "brain washed" is a bit harsh but beleive me it takes a long long time to get you guys trained when you are potential long term partners .. You can't just break away from the "conditioning" Your brain would just blow up!! so be careful!! You are doing the right thing and rebelling a little and trying not to do " housework" but don't go cold turkey. your brain will overload!! "The engines cannae take it captain" and " mad as a hatter "are terms that spring to mind.

You should also bear in mind if you decide at a later date to get another wife she will have to start all the training from scratch so don't go too far. If women can't train you up you won't get all the proper "privellages"" wink wink

He is right about the folding though, if you do it right you don't need to iron a lot of stuff.

Same as hanging the clothes on the line, if you do it right and get the creases out you don't need to iron much.
