I even notice Aldi have jumped on the rip off band wagon .
The foods decent quality , but look a little deeper and most of it's no cheaper than elswhere now , the Aldi motto "don't change your lifestyle , change your supermarket " , rings a bit hollow these days ! , sadly we're a captive audience , you've got to eat !

I work in the distribution industry, and can honestly say that the increase in price is mainly due to the rising fuel costs... you wouldn't believe how much even a single penny added to fuel can cost a company running thousands of vehicles all over the country. Every company battles with it's rivals for a greater share of the market, so sticking the prices up just to make more profit makes no sense what so ever as customers would just walk away. When the price of fuel falls, so too will the prices on the shelves.

thing that is also a bit of a rant, you walk round Tesco.com and see
                  for example

"Last week ?1.50 this week ?1", but you nevr see "last week ?1 this week ?1.50" bastards.

Like the other month went to diy.com for some paint ?12 decided
that it was worth the 'brand name' paint verses their own shit.

Went back next weekend, ?10, brilliant, went back week after ?12 bastards, worked out if had got ALL the paint when ?10 would have got one free tub!

supermarkets r the cheapest places to shop, but they all doing the same thing so u cant win, you get ripped off no matter which supermarket u go to. there is no way does a few pence on a litre of fuel warrant the amount they put on things, end off.

the corner shop is acutually cheaper for bread than downloading from tesco.com

Would rather buy stuff from corner shop.

As we are ranting carrier bags, how thin! any thinner and they will only have one side to them
