BUS LANE PENALTY CHARGE

In most cities across UK bus lane has became a nuisance that’s the way I look at it, let me put it this way one facts is poor signage, how you suppose to read the small print on bus lane when driving at 20 to 30 mph?

The sheer quantity of fines – more than a million every year – suggests something is awry and we don’t believe the vast majority are knowingly breaking the rules.

While there is clearly no defence for driving in a bus lane, we believe more can be done to make it obvious to drivers when they can and can’t drive in one. A lot of this is down to improving signage.

I have stopped driving in the city or going any were near the city because I always get penalty charge no matter how much I opened mine eyes.

Yes bloke down, pub, his brothers, cousins sister, naybor
followed gps and went down bus lane and got invoice, by accident at 2am
whilst 100 miles away, technology should have seen just slight mistake and ignored, not send invoice

if was local car and bus lane there for years send invoice.

did hear of people pulling into bus lane to let emergency services past, gets invoice
when challenged, told "do not go in bus lane" so do you then get invoice "obstructing pig in line of duty"

Good point Meat-Head, why it is legal to read small print on bus lane while driving at 30mph, we all thought bus lanes are for peak times only, but now they have come with unusual tactics, you can only use bus lane after 19.00pm to 6.00am some places if this is not a money making machine what is, my argument is why they can not just make bus lane only no entry at any time full stop when we are not able to use at peak times...

I've been thinking again about buying a second hand fire engine. Not only exempt all road rules but comes with "get outtheway blue light" bus lanes no problem also allowed to ram vehicles blocking my way
only downside I see is the low MPG and everyone stares at you also people might expect me to put their fires out?

Sorted answer, drain water tank fill with diesel, only have to fill once a decade and if you don't like something that has a fire, spray with diesel
